Hi everyone!
Welcome to our first ‘Church news’. This is the place where we’ll update you on everything that’s happening in the church and let you know about up and coming events too.
It’s been an amazing couple of weeks. On Saturday, we had our second ‘School of the Spirit’ and were joined by Pastor Craig Lawrenson. We had a short time of teaching and everyone received prayer, as well as learned more about the spiritual gifts that are available to all believers. It all started in the book of Acts (chapter 2) in the Bible and that’s the model for all we do here at church. The next School of the Spirit (SOS!!) will be on Saturday November 6, starting at 10.30am and lasting for around 1 hour or so. If you haven’t been before, it would be great to see you.
It’s been great too to see so many visitors recently – we’ve had visitors from Kuwait, Hungary and Tanzania, as well as all our usual church family from Widnes, St Helen’s and the surrounding areas. Wherever you’re from, you’ll always get a warm welcome when you walk through the doors of church.
If you’re reading this and you’ve never been to church before, then we would really love to meet you. We are a friendly and lively church and from the moment you walk in, we hope you’ll feel at home. Why not give it a try one Sunday morning? Finally, as the nights start to get darker, we’ll be planning our services for Winter and Christmas. We have a few special things planned and we’ll keep you updated on this blog and in the events section of the website.
